Who the CPR is for

The Care Professional Register is for any person who is directly involved in the care and support of an individual in England, in any of the following roles:

  • Domiciliary Care Worker
  • Residential Home Care Worker
  • Nursing Home Care Worker
  • Support Worker
  • Supported Living Care or Support Worker
  • Care Co-ordinator
  • Senior Care Worker
  • Personal Assistant
  • Self Employed Care Worker (Micro-enterprise)
  • Live-In Care Worker
  • Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

The above list is not exhaustive, as many roles within the care working profession may use alternative descriptions. If your job role is not listed, please email enquires@thecpr.online

The Care Professional Register is intended for individuals working within the care sector in England who meet our qualification standards and wish to be recognised for their commitment to quality care. Registration in the CPR demonstrates to clients, employers, and peers that you uphold the values and standards expected of a trusted care professional.

Exclusions

The CPR cannot accept registration applications for those who live and work in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, as these regions of the UK have some form of mandatory registration in place. If you do live and/or work in either of the devolved regions, you must check the registration requirements for the respective mandatory registers in the region.
